I bet Tom (VA3FIS) wished he could have RED to the front of his Impala!

  2. joe king says:

Looks like another whacker wasting money on crap for his ride.
Why do people imitate the professionals and impersonate them, don’t they know it is illegal?
    May he enjoy his ride.
It may lead to time in a prison.

  3. WA4MJF says:

Well, he is a volunteer FD officer.
As one who used to be a volunteer FD
Lieutenant and an EMT-I on a volunteer
Rescue Squad, I really have no use for
the holier than thou professionals whose
only difference is that they draw a paycheck!
A paycheck doesn’t make you any smarter nor
better than a volunteer who has all the
same training and creds but just does it
for a service to his community.

Same-same in LE I spent 25 years as
a professionl LE and 4 years as a
volunteer auxiliary LE. Same training and
standards required by NC for any sworn
officer. PROFESSIONAL ONLY MEANS YOU GET
    A PAYCHECK AN A PENSION!!!!!

  4. KD8CPP says:

I am very sorry, let me edit my post to reflect he IS AUTHORIZED TO HAVE THE LIGHTS/SIREN. He is a volunteer FD officer.

  5. Pimpala03 says:

Time in a prison? Pft. Why?

I’m an authorized user of the lights/siren. Our department runs Fire, rescue, and EMS. I’m not just a wannabe looser who tossed some amber whacker-dom lights in his car for no reason.

  6. grinthock says:

    Not too bad…

Save your pennies for a trans, you are going to need it… I had 2 implala’s both went through a trans – when the 2nd car had it’s trans go, I sold the car.

  7. wmw1490 says:

I hope Pimpala03 carries enough liability insurance–and I’m not talking about his state minimums. VFD don’t completely realize the risk they take personally when they use their vehicles for emergency response. He’ll run a red light on the way to a stove fire, T-Bone someone and they will (or their survivors) personally sue him for what little assets he may have. Meanwhile, someone is dead/injured by a wannabe….anyone that videos their own named vehicle is not a professional in any sense.

Here is an autobiography on the latest retard:

  9. KB2SEO says:

Next Hamfest we should find him a Radio Shack Red Light Helmet . He can put in a sunroof and really shine!

What’s next? Spinners with ARES and RACES on the fins?

  10. KB2SEO says:

Oh and for the rest of the guys in that VFD-

I am a retired Cop and was in a VFD in NJ for a long time. we had a guy that had the same thing: All kinds of Lights, Wig-wags (not authorized in NJ, but he had em) He had hi-lows in the dash (not Authorized, But he had em) 3 different industrial sized building extinguishers 9Not DOT test for the raod…Well you know)

He had this blazer, Always seems to be “On the Scene” Sure enough, the Dumpsters are a-blaze, here’s Gerry! The Mattresses that were put to the curb mysteriously ignite…Yup, there’s Gerry, Had on the “A” can, My Hero! The Cars, the Boats (we lived on the Bay) the shed, the recycle trailer. Hmmmm… Funny though, When he’s at work as a Maint. Man in the local Hospital, NOTHING BURNS. Our PD needed a brick to fall on it’s collective heads, but not always. Sure enough, Weds. Night, 1 hour before the FD drill for “that” company (I was in a indie, they were municipals…) the local gumshoe follows him in the Wife’s van…BUSTED! A can of Zipppo fuel and a few blue tips!

they say too much of a good thing…IS.

  11. wmw1490 says:

Yes, the VFDs in most areas are staffed by those meaning well and wanting to provide a professional service to their community. My hat is off to those guys…but when the over zealous arrive you have to wonder about their motivation. Again, I’d like to see his proof of insurance and bet his liability is at the state minimums. That’s ok if you have no conscience (or assets) in regards to your own actions, but it places the rest of us at risk.

  12. joe king says:

Guess I stirred the pot a bit.
Professional also means, you drive the company vehicle that has proper insurance on it, in case of collision with another vehicle as well as getting trained and paid for what you do.
Cheers to all the non professional people that do a good job in a volunteer capacity.
There is a need for volunteers in many communities.
    Be careful out there.

  13. WMW1490 is a gobblecock says:

What is the difference between “professional” and volunteer firefighters?

They all do the same job… Does that make us “non-professional” people amateurs? F**k you king joe! You too wmw1490

  14. wmw1490 says:

Thanks for the offer, but I’ve already done it three times today and it wasn’t with your inflatable doll.

A professional gets paid for what they do–that is a hard difference you will find in any reference. Doing something as a volunteer to professional standards is admirable and the right thing to do–especially as a VFD staff. Crossing the line is dressing up your PoS car as a legitimate law enforcement, fire, rescue, etc vehicle.

Here is my profile of pimpala03:

White male, late 30s, overweight, eats mostly fast food, frequent job changes, poorly educated, lives at home with one parent, house is poorly maintained and probably is littered inside/outside with cat/dog poop. If in a relationship, it is usually someone much younger that just needs to get around and he has wheels.

Remember, there are plenty of legitimate volunteers that do the job in a professional manner without dressing their vehicle with lights and making videos.

  15. K8TEK says:

Your profile of pimpala is way off. First of all, he is 22 years old, you are off by quite a few. Secondly, many localities require you equip your vehicle with lights and sirens. They aren’t considered emergency vehicles, but public safety vehicles. His vehicle has NO markings and NO visible lightbar… How does this make his vehicle look like a legitimate LEO vehicle?

    My profile of wmw1490.

Mid 30’s, caucasion, 5′ 6″ tall, with a penis that disappears when he stands up. Loves dogs in more than a platonic nature. Works as an underpaid driving range ball picker upper. Eats mainly bologna and poptarts, and drinks lemonaide. Never been in a relationship due to a childhood accident, leaving half of his face looking like a prune.

  16. KD8CPP says:

Ok Guys, this has gotten outta hand. This is now locked to further discussion. If an admin wants to change it, go ahead, but I think this is best.
