Look up… look WAAY WAAY up!!

wayup.jpgBob KD1ZD sent us this message – there’s nothing that Hamsexy admires more than people who proud of their hamsexyness!

I felt like sending this to hamsexy, because I was told at a recent ham radio club meeting that my car was “hamsexy”. I have read this site before and thought it was very funny.I had to go to my lawyer’s office the other day, and he saw my car, and thought I should put a light strip on top of my car.

I knew having heard these two things, I should send my photo in.

I am involved in EMCOMM activities, but I don’t butt in when not needed. I simply participate in the training and excercises, and will wait until called to help out.

Maybe those who visit the site can post what they think about the car.

Hamsticks on magmounts is just so wrong. Other than that, just a older car. Whatchagot on the inside eh?

Magnet mounts rule! That is, if you want your car to retain its value so you can sell it someday. Not many people will plunk down some cash for a car with a bunch of holes in it.

    I think hamsticks are rad.

To run HF mobile, you need a fairly long antenna. There is no really good way around that. Your car may be a little on the Hamsexy side, but thats what it takes to operate.

Now lights are another story. Lightbars can transform an otherwise normal Hamsexy car into the dreaded “Whackermobile”

    Please don’t go there 🙂

    Welcome,
    Lenny

It’s a hamstick.. no big deal.

Looks like a 40 meter one by the size.. I have 8 different band hamsticks I use on the Jeep, they work pretty good, except their bandwidth is HORRIBLE.

That ought to piss em off at the local Mickey Dee’s drive through Bob! Very Corsicca-tastic!

I think we should have rules for hamsexy vehicles.
    1. minimum 2 additional antennae, besides the am/fm one,
    2. extra lights, either spot or whacker,
    3. a sticker from the local whacker/ham group.
Sorry Bob, it is not “Hamsexy” ‘nuf in my view.

Don’t sweat the holes in the car. You can get plastic plugs for them. I’ve done so in the past, and have always gotten bluebook value or more when I sold the car.

Besides, most hams are cheap enough that by the time we sell our cars, they have like 250,000 miles on them and ain’t worth but $500 anyway.

It ain’t hamsexy unless the radios are worth more than the car!
