Caprice Hooptie!!

It’s times like these that make me happy that I carry a camera with me when I work on the road. My partner and I happened to stop at WalMart the other day and found this gem. Definately old school caprice with (from a distance) looked like quite the little whacker-mobile. Upon closer inspection I found the following. As always, click on the picture to get the larger version.

Please note the last 2 pictures. Have several antennas on the roof… drilled… ok. Probably dummy antennas. But then the mag mount, which in of itself is not terrible… but then drill a hole for the coax? Are you KIDDING me?!

You didn’t make note of the obligatory tinted windows on that land yacht.

Oh, and in the handicap spot.

Does it get any more traditional?

I pointed out the overly obvious… and leave it to the rest of you professionals to point out the little things.

Bah, I always install antennas like that =) Nothing like mag mount rings right next to the hole that will leak. Maybe he ran out of NMO’s and had a real hankerin to drill a hole anyways?

holes, man, holes, this hobby just ain’t right since they got rid of holes. Replaced with wide use of mag and glassmounts, trunk lid mounts, portables…
