SUBJECT: DISMISSAL OF COMPLAINT AGAINST VEC<\/p>\n

Dear Mr. Wait:<\/p>\n

On August 19, 2006, you filed a complaint against the W4VEC Volunteer Examiner Coordinator concerning an examination session on August 18, 2006. You alleged that an applicant, whom you were unable to name, was allowed to test without sufficient identification and that when you objected, you were threatened and asked to step outside the examination room.<\/p>\n

Information submitted to the Enforcement Bureau in response to your complaint indicates that the applicant was too young to have a driver’s license, but had a learner’s permit and other forms of identification; that he was known by the other VE; and that he was accompanied by his uncle, a well-known Amateur Radio licensee who vouched for his identity. The information submitted also indicates that you had to be ejected from the examination building and that, as a result of this incident, you have been disqualified as VE.<\/p>\n

Your complaint is dismissed as frivolous. Furthermore, it is unfortunate that the limited resources of the Enforcement Bureau had to be used to evaluate your allegations.<\/p>\n
